What do we expect from you?
You know Sketch and InVision, and you gave Framer a go. Wireframing is something you could do with your eyes closed. And of course, you know what thou shalt and shalt not do when conducting a Usability Test. Hosting workshops is your second nature. At the start of a project, the first thing that comes to your mind is finding out what the real problem is.
You know how to set up your own work process and how to advise your client in this. You’re resourceful: if a problem arises, you’ll come up with three possible solutions. Taking up an active role is something you do naturally. And if you see that things could be done in a better way, you change it.
Excellent! When invited for an interview, you’ll show us your previous work and exhibit great communication skills. We’ll expect quite a bit from you. You are able to empathize with users within diverse contexts. You know when to deviate from native elements when developing an iOS app and understand the impact on development. During a design review, you know how to navigate stakeholders toward the right design direction.
Sounds fun to me!
Great! If you come on board, you’ll be working with lots of interesting companies. We like to be at the heart of where the action happens, so you will get to work mostly on location. On the other days you get to work from our office and enjoy the company of over 60 other design fanatics. Your future colleagues created hundreds of products over the last years. Like Drop&Fly, a terrific self-checkin luggage system for airports. Or a new website for Funda, the biggest real estate website of the country. Also great new mobile apps for Ziggo, Buienradar and ANWB.
I’m still interested!
Isn’t that great! Now, let’s talk about what you’ll get in return for all your hard work. Of course there’s a monthly salary, but there’s more. You’ll get an annual budget to use for education purposes, we go on monthly team field trips and there will be a MacBook waiting for you, including every tool you need. If you run into a sweet new tool that we weren’t aware of yet, we’ll make sure to get it for everyone at the office. And who knows, maybe you can give a lunch lecture on your new discovery.
You’ve convinced me! What do I do now?
Get in touch now! You probably know how.
